Dodd Mead did not note first editions or printings prior to 1976. 4to full green cloth with gilt titling and round color cover plate inset and 12 full color plates by Jessie Wilcox Smith plus many 2-color partial page drawings and chapter heads. Extremeties rubbed, spine lettering discolored, front interior hinge cracked and one plate loose, but a a nicer copy that it sounds. No previous ownership marks. Item #37762
