Artist Wally Wood, one of the masters in the comic book field, was born in 1927. Although we can't verify it, we strongly suspect this is indeed young Wally's copy that he likely bought as a used book (since it was published before he was born) or it was given to him as a youngster. How many other Wally Woods has we heard of? And there is no reason at all he would not be interested in and inspired by the artwork of Willy Pogany, Provenance: From the collection of my old partner, comic book historian Jim Vadeboncoeur, Jr.. -Bud.
